This was one of the worst Thundarr fan fictions I've ever read. Makes me wonder if Sheila had ever actually watched the show. Or read an X-Men comic even. I could eat a box of Alphabits Cereal and crap a better story. In fact, I have written several Thundarr fan fictions over the past six years. All of which have gotten excellent reviews on www.fanfiction.net. Sheila, for the love of the Lords Of Light, please stop writing fan fiction. You're terrible at it

I looked around in my uploaded files, and I think I've lost it. I'm not sure, but I guess when I was moving my blog from Squarespace to Wordpress I missed bringing over that particular file. I've even checked some old backups and I can't find it anywhere.

I'm going to see if I can track down the owners of Subterranean Cinema and see if they still have the pdf.

I watched the film with no real expectactions for many of the reasons you have listed i.e the only thing it share in common with the book was the title. But as a piece of 'popcorn' PA it was rather good. Ok, plot holes big enough to drive horse through but all in all, I enjoyed it.

Thanks for the link I just finished watching it. I thought it was a little optimistic with the power being down a week. As I understand it any replacement transformers would have to shipped from either China or India provided they had any ready. I suspect a real cyber attack could take months to repair. The film was a real insight the blogger violated every op sec rule I could think of.

At first I assumed that it would show up on BBC America eventually, but then I realized that not every channel in the UK is BBC. It might end up on Netflix or Amazon someday, but until then, it's actually been uploaded in its entirety on YouTube.

I'll probably check it out there myself.

I know is a little late in the day, but does anybody out there have a clue when this will shown in the US? Has anybody seen it? The UK did a docudrama called dirty war a few years back. It's about a dirty bomb exploding in London.

Yeah, I don't think it cost more than a few million for the movie rights to the book, but I think they would have avoided a lot of negative press, at least among die-hard fans of the book, if they had just avoided any tie-in at all.

I would agree WWZ is a good watch I saw it when it first came out, I was curious after seeing the trailers. I also read the book and got it for my nephew he liked it also. Seeing the trailers it was pretty obvious it was going to be nothing like the book. It's a shame they where not true to the book, again I'm curious as to the reasons they paid Max Brooks a boat load of money and did what they did.

Ok I have to admit the premise is interesting. It's the teen age love story and the idea that a teen age girl could survive let alone find her way 'Home" to her BF in a UK falling apart that has me shanking my head. You would have Islamic gangs, drug gangs, and local hoods causing bedlam. Most UK police are not armed and have no firearms and tactical training like US police. In a SHTF the police except for a few armed tactical teams would be useless. Most adults let alone teenagers couldn't survive with out coming down with some horrible tummy bug or being murdered. Yes I know it's a movie and yes I know I'm not the market. But I'm really getting tired of movies bases on somebodies Pc fantasies.

Yes, this is for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes coming out in 2014. But I think you're right that the events in Dawn would most closely match up to Battle in the original series.

Oh wow I guess I understand why they would delete that scene but at this point any expansion to the Escape from universe is welcome for me. The opening tracking shot is just phenomenal though, Carpenter was clearly trying to open with a bang.

Also I'm so glad you clarified the backstory in this article since it makes the mystery tape make so much more sense.

I don't know of any others that are War of the Worlds'ish, but if you want more zombie audio dramas, you need to check out We're Alive. I've only listened to season 1 so far, but it's really good.
